Arsenal super striker Van Persie has made it known that he doesn’t want to continue playing for Arsenal football club
In a release which has put the doubt surrounding his future at the London club to an end, Robin van Persie has announced that he does not wish to extend his current contract at the club.
The Dutch striker has one year left on his current contract and it is yet to be known if he will spend that time with the club or he will move on to another club, availing Arsenal to cash in on his move.
In recent interview, the striker has this to say:
“Out of my huge respect for Mr. Wenger, the players and the fans I don’t want to go into any details, but unfortunately in this meeting it has again become clear to me that we in many aspects disagree on the way Arsenal FC should move forward… I’ve thought long and hard about it, but I have decided not to extend my contract…”
Also, in a release by the clubside, they have confirmed this development: “We have to respect Robin’s decision not to renew his contract. Robin has one year to run on his current contract and we are confident that he will fulfill his commitments to the Club. We are planning with ambition and confidence for next season with Arsenal’s best interests in mind”.
