Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling, has told manager Brendan Rodgers that he wants to leave Anfield this summer.
The England international has already rejected a £100,000-a-week deal, but denied being a “money-grabber” in an interview with BBC Sport last month.
Liverpool are determined to keep the 20-year-old, whose current contract expires in 2017, but the player has set his mind on leaving the club.
Sterling’s future is being watched closely by Manchester City, Arsenal and a host of top European clubs like Real Madrid.
