Recently, during his trip to Gabon, Lionel Messi laid a foundation block for a new stadium in the city of Port-Gentil which intends hosting the 2017 African Cup of Nations.
It is rather amazingly funny to think that a man would steal the foundation block and demand a sum of 3 million CFA as ransom before releasing it.
Messi’s trip to Gabon has been on the headlines ever since he was paid $3.7 by the President of Gabon, Al Bongo for the trip. He was also said to accompany Bongo to the opening of his family restaurants and oppositions questions his involvement with the President. However, the Gabonese government disclaimed paying for Messi’s trip.
Sources say the Republic of Gabon were not pleased with Messi’s outfit for a visit.
