In a recent interview, she spoke on the importance of soundtracks and music score in movies;

There are some situations where you prefer more of soundtracks as opposed to dramatic scoring. For example, ‘Waiting to Exhale,’ people remember the music, remember the songs, remember Brandy Mary J Blige and Whitney Houston,” she said.

“But there are some films that definitely need dramatic orchestration, or even electronic scoring.

“And it’s very important, because I feel that it definitely helps to move the story along, it carry the story along. We have all heard of films that we loved because of the music ; ‘Star Wars’ for example, ‘Godfather,’ ‘Doctor Zhivago,’ ‘Lord of the Rings,’we will remember the music as well as the actors.”
