The plaintiff argues that the defendants “failed to provide adequate security” and “failed to implement security procedures.” Briley is now seeking damages for all of his “physical, mental and emotional pain and suffering” he endured and continues to experience after being shot.
After learning about the filing, Brown’s team called the lawsuit “frivolous” and believes the case will be dismissed.
The lawsuit also comes shortly before Brown’s baby mama decided to speak out about completely different reports about her relationship status.
After speculation surfaced that rapper King Ba was in a relationship with Nia Guzman, baby Royalty’s mom had to set the record straight.
“The allegations that have been made against Nia Guzman are completely false,” her spokesperson said in a statement to E! News. “Nia has not been in a dating relationship with Ba for several months and she has no criminal record and has never took park in any criminal activity with Ba.”
As for her ongoing custody battle with Brown, Guzman’s team insists they are simply trying to get a fair amount of financial support from the rapper.
“Nia is not trying to obtain any fame or additional money from Chris Brown other than the child support that is expected for the raising of their child,” the statement read. “She asks that the press and general public would stop hurling false accusations at her and her daughter.”
