Amber Rose Opens Up On Exes Wiz Khalifa And Kanye West Amidst Tears At Her SlutWalk Event
Amber Rose shed tears onstage at her SlutWalk event in Los Angeles on Saturday as she opened up about her exes, Wiz Khalfa and Kanye West.
The 31-year-old glamour model in a tearful speech said:
“He came out with that song and that really hurt me because all I did was ever love him,” Amber said about Wiz, 28. “I just loved him so much and gave him a beautiful son and to be told that I was nothing but a stripper, um, it hurt.”
Wiz was married to Amber for more than a year before she filed for divorce in September 2014. The marriage resulted in a 2-year-old son, Sebastian “The Bash” Taylor Thomaz.
In March, Khalifa rendered the lyrics, “I fell in love with a stripper / Funny thing is I fell back out of love quicker/ They don’t pay attention to the love anyway/ They only concerned with what the haters say/ Bottles be turning these girls into THOTS/ Instagram turning these wifes into hos,” in a track with Juicy J released a track called “For Everybody.”
Amber who held up a sign that read, “Strippers have feelings too” at the SlutWalk also had this to say about Kanye West.
“I want to forgive Kanye for what he said about me,” Amber continued, drawing cheers. “I want to let all that negative, that negativity go.”
Amber and West dated on and off between 2008 and 2010. In February, he said in a radio interview, while talking about his relationship with wife Kim Kardashian, “It’s very hard for a woman to want to be with someone that was with Amber Rose…I had 30 showers before I got with Kim”
At the SlutWalk, which aimed to make women unashamed about their bodies and style choices and combat misogyny, Amber’s mother, Dorothy Rose, carried a sign that read, “F–K YO 30 Showers!”
“I also forgive Wiz for what he said,” Amber said onstage. “Wiz actually apologized to me already, so I have forgiven him.”
“I suggest that you guys do the same and I’ll tell you why,” she continued. “Because you can’t…they’re ignorant at times, people are ignorant and you have to be the bigger person and be the positive person to forgive and move on and help other people around you that have been through the same thing.”
