Nyanya-bus-bombingThe Boko Haram sect is reportedly planning to attack soft targets in the nation’s capital of Abuja, an intelligence report has revealed.

The insurgents are reportedly planning to use young girls to carry out these attacks on worship centres and markets in Abuja.

A circular dated November 23, and signed by Mohammed M. Mohammed, the Director, Security Services of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, on behalf of the FCT Minister, called on all Mosques, Churches and Markets in Abuja to maintain extra vigilance.

It specifically called for extra vigilance on “unknown persons dressing as aid workers loitering around the worship areas and markets”.

Mr. Mohammed stressed that this extra vigilance had become necessary to curb the menace of insurgency in Abuja and beyond.

The last time a Boko Haram attack was recorded in Abuja was on October 2, 2015 in Kuje and Nyanya.
