According to reports, the terrorists that attacked Paris were said to be smuggled into the country as refugees.
Following investigations on the seven Paris killers, it is believed that one of the terrorists, Ahmed Almuhamed, allegedly sneaked into France by posing as a refugee.
According to multiple reports, Serbian media claims that 25-years old Almuhamed, whose Syrian passport was found on the body of one of the suicide bombers, allegedly blew himself up at the Bataclan concert hall, where 89 people were massacred on Friday night, November 13, 2015.
There were further claims that Almuhamed arrived with another of the bombers in Europe on the Greek island of Leros on October 3, 2015 on his way to Paris.
In another report, a Syrian passport was found near the body of one of the gunmen who struck at the Stade de France showed the holder, during investigation.
The body was identified as a man born in 1990, who had passed through the Greek island of Leros on October 3, 2015.
Buttressing the claims, Greece’s deputy minister in charge of police, Nikos Toscas, said the body was ‘identified [as a refugee] according to EU rules’ as he passed through the country, but did not know if it was checked elsewhere en route to Paris.
Six of the terrorists, believed to be from Islamic State who appear to have formed their own international terror cell, took their own lives, while one was shot dead by police.
One of the attackers has been named locally as homegrown terrorist, Omar Ismaël Mostefai, a 29-year old radical from Courcouronnes, Paris, who was identified by the fingerprint on a severed digit found after he detonated his suicide belt.
It is believed two of the bombers were carrying Syrian passports. At least two others are believed to be French while several could also be Belgian.
Ahmed Almuhamed is believed to have taken around a month to travel to France posing as a migrant.
By October 7, 2015, he had entered Serbia at Miratovce, having crossed the frontier from Macedonia. He reportedly applied for asylum in Serbia in Presevo before crossing into Croatia and Austria.
Survivors have also claimed that a woman was among the group shooting randomly into the crowd at Bataclan concert hall before three blew themselves up and a fourth person was shot dead by police before they could detonate their bomb.
The disclosure that some may have entered Europe as migrants, which came amid claims of French intelligence failures, inevitably raises new security concerns about the safety of Europe’s borders.
