Star Trek actress, Karen Montgomery, actress who doubles as a producer, died on Friday after battling breast cancer for some time, according to a report.
Montgomery who died at age 66 moved behind the camera and worked as an assistant to screenwriters, directors and producer of the 1978 film, Coming Home, after playing Princess Beata in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Variety reports.
Montgomery later produced a documentary with her husband, titled Special Thanks to Roy London. The film, which focused on her former acting coach and friend, debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival.
