Featuring U.S. star Danny Glover, of Lethal Weapon fame, this forthcoming medical drama about Nigeria’s first Ebola case has generated controversy even before its release. The movie focuses on Ameyo Stella Adadevoh, the late doctor who correctly diagnosed the first case of Ebola in the country and helped prevent an outbreak before tragically succumbing to the disease herself. Adadevoh’s family disputed the film, claiming it was inaccurate, a charge rejected by the movie’s producers.

Hype has been building for several years around this forthcoming historical fiction, which focuses on the 1976 coup during which Nigeria’s then-military ruler, Murtala Mohammed, was assassinated. The story is told from two perspectives: a soldier accused of involvement in the coup and his heavily pregnant wife who is left alone while her husband is interrogated. Starring award-winning Nigerian actor Ramsey Nouah, the film went through a seven-month-long approval period with the Nigerian military before production started.

The CEO is a mystery trailer surrounding five top executives from across Africa who are on a one-week leadership retreat by a multinational telecommunication firm to determine who becomes the firm’s new CEO. Things go all awry when one after the the other, the executives are eliminated in sudden death circumstances, and the finger falls on the last two remaining executives as prime suspects. The movie stars 2-time Grammy winner, Angelique Kidjo, Hollywood actor, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Wale Ojo, Kemi Lala Akindoju, Peter King Nwania, Hilda Dokubo and Moroccan singer, Ahmed Sultan.

After the mega success of his movie “30 Days in Atlanta”, Enterprising star comedian AY Makun is set to release a new project titled “A Trip to Jamaica – Another Akpos Adventure” soon.

The official release tells us, “The movie which is the second installment of the Akpos franchise is billed to raise the comedic bar set by the hilarious ’30 Days In Atlanta’ which set the record as the highest grossing cinema movie in Nigeria till date.”
Shot in Nigeria, the United States of America and Jamaica, the film showcases Akpos (AY) and his fiancée Bola (Funke Akindele) as they travel across the Atlantic to visit family, they unexpectedly end up on an adventure. From Nigeria to America to the beautiful island of Jamaica, this is a movie that is both designed to keep viewers reeling with laughter as well as bridge the gap between Hollywood, Nollywood and Jamaica’s film industry.
“A Trip To Jamaica” featuzzres Hollywood actors including Eric Roberts and Dan Davies while the Jamaica cast includes Paul Campbell (of 3rd World Cup) and Rebecca Silver.

Following the success of its multiple award winning film The Meeting, The Audrey Silva Company (TASC) today released the trailer for its highly anticipated sophomore production “SURU L’ ERE (patience pays)”.

Set in Lagos, the movie depicts the life of a young, timid graduate desperate to overcome his financial woes.  The protagonist ARINZE played by upcoming talent Seun Ajayi meets ambitious and beautiful OMOSIGHO (Beverly Naya) by chance and it sets off a chain of events that force him to explore a “get rich quick” idea.

The film is packed with many young talented actors like Lala Akindoju, AMVCA winner Tope Tedela, Enyinna Nwigwe and Gregory Ojefua. Interestingly; producer Rita Dominic makes a noteworthy cameo appearance joined by Linda Ejiofor, Kenneth Okolie and Bikiya Graham Douglas.
