Premium Times witness, Mohammed Dan Asabe, said that the explosion occurred at about 11:44 am. Another source, Ibrahim Bello, a resident of the area, added: “Blast is so powerful that all the glass windows and doors in our entire neighborhood have been destroyed.”
He also said there was serious anxiety around the area particularly at the Central Primary School, directly opposite the police station, where pupils were attending classes at the time of the bomb blast. The casualty figure was not immediately clear.
The journalist Sani Tukur also posted on his Twitter account: In a related development, suspected members of the Boko Haram sect have attacked Kuda village of Madagali local government area of Adamawa state.
Another attack occurred when a teen about 12 years old, launched a suicide attack, killing 20 people at Gombi market in Adamawa state. However, Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed has stated that the recent attacks by the sect are not a sign of its resurgence.
