According to reports, a powerful explosion, believed to be a bomb blast, has hit a police station in Adamawa State.
The explosion is said to have occurred at about 11:44 am today, February 25, 2016 at the Jimeta Divisional Police Headquarters in Yola, the state capital, Premium Times reports.
“#BREAKING: An explosion has occurred at the Divisional Police HQ, in Yola, Adamawa State. Cause & casualties yet to be ascertain.”
A resident of the area, identified as Ibrahim Bello, said that the blast was so powerful “that all the glass windows and doors in our entire neighborhood have been destroyed.”
The incident hasn’t been confirmed by the necessary authorities and it is not yet clear if there are any casualties.
