Turkish giants, Galatasaray, have been banned by the UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) from competing in all European competitions for the next season should they manage to qualify.
The governing body took the decision following the Istanbul club’s failure to comply with Financial Fair Play rules imposed on European clubs.
Gala has been ordered to trim their total spending on player wages for the next two seasons. Galatasaray is one of Turkey’s most successful and historic clubs, and after being knocked out of the Europa League this season, the club currently lies 5th in the Turkish league.
