The Sun UK reports that Lucasfilm and Disney are in talks to bring no less than five more Star Wars movies to screens after the first six have been released.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been the most recent release of the franchise and two more trilogy installments and three stand-alone movies are due before 2020, but the newspaper says that the studio are reportedly planning two more trilogy installments and three more stand-alones post 2020.

Star Wars Episode VIII which is the next in the saga has literally just started production, and Gareth Edwards will release the first stand-alone ‘Star Wars Story’ Rogue One: A Star Wars Story this December.

A Han Solo film is planned for 2018, followed by Episode 9 in 2019, and then the final stand-alone Star Wars movie for this decade in 2020. Then they will begin work on the second wave of Star Wars movies, possibly featuring the characters from the franchise.
