It has been confirmed that the civil unrest ongoing in Mile 12/Ketu area of Lagos State is between two rival cult groups. The cultists are said to be among Hausa traders and Yoruba traders.
Meanwhile, according to the information gathered, despite the initial effort of policemen in Ketu Division to stop the riot, the hoodlums continued and even injured the uniformed men.
Eyewitnesses revealed that at the least six people have been killed, while some policemen have been critically injured by hoodlums as the Mile 12 market is temporarily closed.
Things are however said to be in control as soldiers have joined forces with policemen to arrest a handful of the cultists.
