Police in Mumbai, India, on Sunday arrested a 22-year-old Chukwuma Nwabu who murdered his friend, 34-year-old Durumchukwu Obinna Michael, during a football argument on who was a better player between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Police said the Obinna was celebrating his birthday with his friend Nwabu at a rented flat, when they started to argue over who the better player was. Durumchukwu flung a glass at Chukwuma, which missed him and broke against the wall. chukwuma then picked up a shard of glass and cut his friend’s throat in a fit of rage, said Police inspector, Kiran Kabadi of Tulinj station.
A Police team arrived at the scene of the crime and arrested the accused after neighbours who heard the commotion informed the police.
According to Police, the duo were staying in a rented flat in Mahesh Apartments, Oswal Nagari, on Link Road, Nalasopara (East) and some more friends, And both of their visa had expired.
Chukwuma will be made to appear in Court on today, charged with murder.
