The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Thursday said that there is no casualty in the yet to be identified military aircraft that skidded off the runway while landing at the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Base in Yola, the Adamawa State capital on Wednesday.
A report quoting an unnamed source in the aviation sector had alleged that the aircraft lost a tyre in the incident resulting in some casualties.
But Grp Cpt Ayodele Famuyiwa categorical in debunking the story, said “there is nothing like that (casualties)”.
He however did not provide further information on the crew number, but military sources revealed the pilot and the crew members escaped unhurt.
The source also confirmed that the military has commenced investigation into the cause of the crash.
The latest mishap is coming five months after another military air craft NAF801, , crashed in Hong, Adamawa State.
