If reports coming from Spain on Thursday morning are anything to believe, then there is great confusion in the camp of the ‘Special One’ Mourinho over his emergence as Manchester United manager in the summer.
According revelations by top La Liga expert, Guillem Balague, Mourinho, his agent, Jorge Mendes, family and friends believe that he already has the job in the kitty but that is not the case with the suits at Old Trafford who are still not sure if he is the man for the job.
“On Mou. His people say all done with United,” Balague tweeted. “Most football people think all done too. MUFC say no decision made. Lvg thinks he’s staying.”
Balague however suggests Real Madrid’s president Florentino Perez ‘misses’ Mourinho.
He said: “At the Bernabeu Florentino is confused.
“Real, when they have to take initiative, like today, are poor. Physically poor too. He misses Mou.”
The Portuguese tactician is widely expected to replace Louis van Gaal in the summer. Reports emerged yesterday suggesting Mourinho wants written confirmation he will be the next Red Devils boss.
However, other reports surfaced suggesting Van Gaal has rejected the chance to become Holland’s technical director.
