Just when you came to terms with spending $80 on fuzzy Fenty x PUMA shower shoes, Rihanna is back for more of your money with a new beauty line. Fenty Beauty by Rihanna will launch in spring of 2017 in partnership with the Kendo beauty division of the luxury goods company, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
WWD says that the estimated price tag on her beauty deal run as high as a purported $10 million. The chief executive officer of Kendo, David Suliteanu, has high hopes for the line.
“Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is a beauty rocket ship that will appeal to a huge and diverse global audience,” says Suliteanu. “We are aiming for the stars.”
Rihanna has previously worked the beauty sector, first with MAC in 2013 to develop a four-part, limited-edition RiRi Hearts MAC color cosmetics collection, then in 2014 as the covergirl of Viva Glam lipstick to raise money for AIDS research. She has also produced seven fragrances — her latest being RiRi, which was launched in 2015.
