Coming after football legends and stars like Kanu Nwankwo, Samuel Eto’o, Stephen Appiah, Austin Jay Jay Okocha and many more gathered in the city of Port Harcourt to honour Joseph Yobo with a testimonial match, Yobo and his wife, Adaeze were conferred chieftaincy titles in Ogoniland, Rivers State.
They were conferred with the honour titles of Mene Aborlo 1 and Waamene Aborlo 1 of Ogoni. These titles were conferred on them by the King of Ogoniland, His Royal Highness GNK Gininwa
The soccer star took to his twitter account to share a college of the event and wrote ”Honored to be conferred the title

Joseph Yobo made his Super Eagles debut against Zambia in a 2002 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Chingola, Zambia. He quit international football at the age of 33, after getting his 100th in the match against France at the World Cup in Brazil.
