Tanzania President Fires Minister For Attending Parliament Under The Influence Of Alcohol
Tanzania president, John Magufuli has fired Charles Grind, the Minister of Internal Affairs of State, accused of attending parliament meeting while drunk.
Contained in a statement signed by the President’s Acting Director of Communications, Gerson Msigwa, Grind showed up in parliament responding to questions drunk.
Assuming office in October 2015, Magufuli who is also regarded as the Bulldozer , cracked down on the government entertainment budgets, slashed cabinet positions, scrapped a number of ministerial foreign visits and fired tainted officials including the anti-corruption chief.
