The England star isn’t too happy with the man who gets paid to look like him. Speaking at England’s latest Euro 2016 press conference, Leicester striker, Vardy was asked why he blocked Lee Chapman, his lookalike on Twitter and he said;
‘Why did I block who? Lee Chapman? Am I not allowed to block anyone?’ Vardy responded. ‘There’s a lot of people blocked on my Twitter for various reasons that I don’t need to go into.’
Both the 29-year-old forward and his new wife Rebekah have blocked Chapman, or ‘Chappy’ as he is known, on all social media platforms.
And Chapman, who is in France for Euro 2016 attending various fan zones, responded to Vardy on Twitter in rather peculiar fashion, posting a picture of himself atop a sheep with the caption ‘Do I care!!! #ChatShitGetBlocked’
You will also recall that, Vardy’s representatives had contacted Chapman – a Royal Mail postman who has been given time off to pursue his career as a lookalike – and warned him not to do anything that would bring Vardy’s name into disrepute.
