Making a guest appearance recently on Metro977 FM’s The Drop Spot, Lil Kesh talked about the reason why he left YBNL and started his own label.
Speaking to the hosts Ife and Rexx, Lil Kesh cleared the air on his YBNL exit, saying ”The label Y.A.G.I is still under YBNL Nation, we are brothers, Olamide built us up that we all see above the music…how can we help each other 20 years from now…we want to be controlling millions 20 years from now” He further added that Olamide already started the plan for him that when his contracts ends, he should start his own label to help guys on the streets.
Since this YBNL saga surfaced online, many have expressed shock given the bond between Olamide and Lil Kesh. As a boss, Olamide has had to watch Lil Kesh’s back many a time and even caused some rows at awards shows having felt his act was not adequately recognized as seen during The Headies 2015 Awards Night in January this year, when Olamide mounted the stage at to criticise the organisers for not giving the Rookie of the Year award to Lil Kesh.
