Nigerians have always been known to say whatever they feel at a particular time. They often don’t know how to hide their feelings or opinions about a particular thing, just like in the case of Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife.

Nigerians has dragged the Oba for visiting people around the nation. People have criticized that the King that is suppose to be visited by the people is visiting people. Their opinions were voiced out especially when the Ooni went to visit footballer, Obafemi Martins in his home in Lagos, saying the Oba should go to his palace and stay there, let people go and visit him there.

One thing Nigerians has forgotten his that Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has always stood for peace. When he was enthroned, he said he wanted his tenure to be characterized by peace on all fronts for the Yoruba people. Not only does he dress with the colour of peace, White, the King is spreading peace every where he goes.

The Ooni of Ife has demonstrated many acts of peace, some which include his visit to Modakeke to help raise funds for the Akoraye day festival. No doubt about it, everyone knows the history of Ife and his next door neighbour, Modakeke but the Ooni took it upon himself to show peace by being present there himself.

An uninvited Ooni went further to make history by visiting the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, to grace his 45th coronation anniversary thanksgiving after many years of frosty relationships between the two towns as the last time an Ooni visited Oyo town was in March 1937. This however shows how the Ooni cares about his children and spreading peace among nations of Yoruba.

In his statement at the anniversary thanksgiving, the Ooni said his mission here is to preach peace among nations of Yoruba both home and abroad and to project the unity and love which we believe is existing in days of our forefathers.

Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi stands for peace so let him spread and preach peace to all nations.
