An Alexandria, Virginia woman made off with $40,000 in iPhones from a local Target store. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Apparently, the woman posed as a store employee, accessed the stock room and left with a box full of the smartphones. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
She definitely had the inside scoop about that specific location, because she was aware of employee policies, store procedures, and of course, she knew where the iPhones were kept. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“The suspect is not affiliated with the store, but appeared to have knowledge of the store’s procedures, employee hours and the location of the iPhones in the stockroom,” Fairfax County police said in a news release. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Surveillance footage showed the woman leaving the store around 10 am with a shopping cart of stolen devices. She then puts the stolen items into the trunk of a Volvo station wagon, gets into the back seat and exits the parking lot. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
FairfaxCounty Police are still searching for the suspect.
