Nollywood actress, Chika Ike’s fans are currently celebrating the actress after she announced yet another milestone – that she is going to Harvard for an Executive MBA, a dream she had been pursuing for five years.

“That unfathomable joy you feel when you get accepted into Harvard for your Executive MBA #havard #EMBA,” she wrote on her page a short while ago.

While we are happy for the entrepreneurial actress, and so we decided to look up more information on the Ivy League school’s website (to better inform our readers), and saw a notice that explicitly states that the college does not offer Executive MBA.

The Harvard Business School (HBS) Wrote:

“Harvard Business School does not offer a part-time MBA or an Executive MBA (eMBA) program. The MBA program at HBS requires full-time attendance for two years.”

See the screenshot for further clarification:

In place of an eMBA, HBS offers an alternative – a 6-month course called Program for Leadership (PLD), which requires that a participant must be present in class for only 4 weeks, and the rest of the modules are continued outside class; it is a distance learning program.

HBS went on to add:

“PLD participants typically have 10 to 15 years of professional experience, are recognized as having significant leadership potential, and come from organizations with annual revenues in excess of $75 million. Most applicants have a high degree of specific functional knowledge, many are experienced in a single industry domain, and some have spent their careers in a single company.”

This is exactly the course Nigerian-Cameroonian singer Dencia is currently studying at the same college.

Presently, some discerning followers have sought clarification from the actress, and she replied, tagging them ‘haters’:

Well, it would appear that Ms Ike did get an offer of admission after all, not the MBA as touted earlier, but its alternative – the PLD – Program for Leadership Development (the 6 month distance learning course described above).
